Donate to End Homelessness
NMCEH Campaigns Make Effective Use of Your Donation
You have four choices for your donations to NMCEH and all four make your donation an effective tool for ending homeless. You can designate your gift to our veterans campaign, our individuals and families campaign, or to where needed most. The fourth choice is to become a voting member of the Coalition.
Funds raised through the Veterans Campaign are used to support non-profit agencies in New Mexico that do a good job of helping homeless veterans obtain the housing and services they need to end their homelessness, and toward NMCEH advocacy for government policies that will end homelessness among veterans. Our New Mexico Veterans Helping Homeless Veterans Committee helps us decide how to allocate the funds raised. To donate to this fund type “Veterans” in the designation box for online gifts or write “Veterans” in the memo section of your check.
Individuals and Families Campaign
Funding raised for this campaign supports non-profit agencies in New Mexico that do a good job of helping homeless individuals or families with children obtain the housing and services they need to end their homelessness, and toward NMCEH advocacy for government policies that will end homelessness for everyone. An Advisory Committee comprised of NMCEH donors and volunteers helps us decide how to allocate the funds raised. To donate to this fund, type “Individuals and Families” in the designation box for online gifts, or write “Individuals and Families” in the memo section of your check.
Where Needed Most
When you make an undesignated donation or check the “where needed most” box on one of our return envelopes, your donation will be used to support one or more of our programs that help end homelessness in New Mexico. Our activities include helping our member agencies develop strong housing programs, advocating for better policies at the local, state and national level, and developing a statewide Coordinated Assessment System to make it easier for people to access help. We may also use undesignated donations to support the veteran’s campaign or the individuals and families campaign, when that seems most appropriate. For a complete list of our programs, please visit Our Programs Page.
Become a Member
The Coalition has individual members as well as organizational members. There is a sliding scale dues structure so anyone can afford to join. Membership dues are used to support the advocacy work of the coalition and the other programs of the coalition. Since members have the right to vote at our meetings, we expect our members to come to our membership meetings regularly and participate in our discussions and planning. To learn more about membership download the membership form.
You can donate online or by sending a check to NMCEH at PO Box 865, Santa Fe, NM 87504.
